There are so many people that deserve a 'thank you' for all the help in making the Pea Green Pedal & Fun Run, Corn Hole Tournament, and BBQ a great day! From Delta Area Mountain Bikers, to volunteers from DCMH, to all the sponsors that make the day possible.
This was the first year the DCMH Nurses hosted a Corn Hole Tournament to raise funds for education and recognition initiatives. Winners Justin Robinson & Adam Polhamus took home custom Corn Hole Boards, Second Place: Grey Neal & Logan Green received a gift certificate to Homestead Meats, Third Place: Manual Delgado & JD won a gift certificate to Needlerock Brewery.
A youth biking event was also added this year. The Pea Green Pedal & Fun Run was a great opportunity to give kids in Delta County a space where they could safely get on a bike and experience a passion that can keep you engaged and active for years.There were close to 20 kids on bikes, some on Striders or using training wheels and others cruising on two wheels. Seeing the excitement on their faces as they started their ride was priceless.
I am humbled to see all the people that came out to show support and helped in one way or another. Without all the volunteers, participants, and sponsors it wouldn't have been possible to raise $22,000 for the DCMH Foundation to continue supporting health and well-being in our community.
I can't wait for next year!
